Social work with adults: published resources for quality social work

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Education and training, Knowledge and skills
The resources (mental capacity guide pictured) are designed to be used by social workers at all levels, from front line practitioners to senior social workers, social work supervisors and managers.
These resources are designed to be used by all social workers working with adults

These resources provide practice and curriculum guidance for social workers specialising in dementia, autism and mental capacity.

They were commissioned by me in my capacity as Chief Social Worker for Adults in the Department of Health, in partnership with the sector, to support social workers’ continuous professional development and further raise the quality of professional social work practice for people and their carers.

The resources are designed to be used by social workers at all levels, from front line practitioners to senior social workers, social work supervisors and managers, to support them to deliver the best outcomes for the people with whom they work.

Separate curriculum guides for mental capacity and autism are designed to provide educators, employers and social workers with the skills and knowledge required to provide effective support to people, their carers and families.
