Dr Claire Bates

Dr Claire Bates is the Leader of the national supporting network who support best practice surrounding sexual and relationship support. Claire is an active academic researcher holding honorary research associate positions both at the University of Kent and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Claire has consulted on CQC’s Relationships and sexuality in adult social care services and promoting sexual safety through empowerment. She is also the co-author (along with Sue Sharples) of Skills for Care’s relationships and sexuality awareness training programme.
